The following support structures are in place to enable you to make the most of your academic career.
Personal Development Planning (PDP)
The MBA faculty are committed to the provision of an educational programme that meets the conceptual, professional and other developmental needs of managers. Therefore, alongside the acquisition of intellectual skills and knowledge, personal and professional development is of fundamental importance. PDP is embedded in the teaching and assessment of three modules: The Reflective People Manager (Stage 1), Leading Change: Managing for Creativity (Stage 2) and the Applied Management Project (Stage 3).
Year Tutors
Year tutors provide additional academic support and specific advice about study on the Executive MBA. These tutors are also up-to-date on the various professional services offered at the university; tutors are a valuable source of information and knowledge.
Effective Learning Service
The Effective Learning Service is a dedicated learning support facility aimed at improving students’ learning skills. Services provided are wide ranging from report and essay writing and presentation skills to motivation and time management and preparing for examinations. Supplementary English language classes are also available for international students.
Learner Support
Learner Support provides a range of services ranging from academic to personal issues, to help you while at university. Learner Support Services are located in the Saltire Centre and can also be accessed online.
Careers Service
The Careers Service at Glasgow Caledonian University aims to provide quality, effective careers advice and information to empower students and graduates to make informed decisions about their careers, learning and continuing professional development.
