Bridging provision: BA Business & Management

Where an applicant does not meet the academic component of the entry criteria specified above, s/he will be directed to Caledonian Business School’s BA Business & Management (part-time) programme. This degree will enable the applicant to enter year 1 of the MBA.

Entry with advanced standing

Direct entry to Year 2 of the programme will be considered if the applicant holds a UK Postgraduate Certificate in Management or equivalent.  Such an entry to the programme is only possible when there is a close match between the prior certificated learning and the intended learning outcomes of Year 1 of the MBA.  In addition, the applicant must have a minimum of three years relevant work experience, which can be of a managerial, technical or professional nature.  The applicant will be required to submit two satisfactory references: one academic and one employment.  Applications will be considered on an individual basis.

International Applicants

The MBA part time route is not available to international students seeking entry into the UK on a student visa. If you are interested in studying an MBA, please consider our full-time programme.

International applicants already working in the Glasgow area with an appropriate UK visa will need to meet the above entry requirements. Applicants whose first language is not English will also be required to provide evidence of an IELTS test score of 6.0 with no element less than 5.5 (or equivalent recognised English Language qualification).

Applicants with less than IELTS 6.5 (or equivalent) may be required to attend supplementary non-assessed English Language classes during the first semester.
